The validity of technical analysis is still an unresolved issue with adherents and opponents on both sides. I may normally be expected to believe in the efficiency hypothesis given the fact that I am a U.S trained finance professor and academic world of finance puts its considerable weight in favor of this hypothesis with only a few exceptions.
